Apr 22 An all day (9.30 – 5pm) acting workshop has been arranged – venue URC Chapel. This is being run by The House of Fun Theatre from Camelford in North Cornwall. We advertised this recently by e-mail and the reaction has been so positive that all twelve available places have been snapped up, with a reserve list being kept in case of drop-outs.
The Club is contributing to the workshop costs, so each member will pay just £16 to include light lunch and refreshments. We have paid THOFT a deposit and full details will be sent to all participants in due course.
May 5 (Friday) Members of the Club will be taking part in a one-off “’Allo, ‘Allo” themed evening being organised as part of the Fair Week activities
May 13 We are planning a Saturday night theatre trip to the Redgrave Theatre in Clifton to see Bristol Musical Comedy Club performing Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Once again, members can benefit from a club discount and if we get a group of ten or more, we should be able to benefit from a further reduction. A further communication will be sent out in early March but if any of you want to go to this show, please advise Mark.
